I grew up in Wabasha, Mn. Growing up on the Mississippi
River got me addicted to walleye fishing at a young age. I have very
fond memories of trips early on with my dad that fueled my passion
from the start.
I live in Ramsey, Minnesota with my wife Chelsea and two children. I currently serve as an Assistant Principal at Armstrong High School in Plymouth, MN. When I’m not busy being dad or serving my school, I can be found on the water chasing walleyes. My home water is Mille Lacs, as my wife Chelsea and I own a cabin there.
I have been fishing competitively since 2010. I currently fish
the Minnesota Tournament Trail with a team of 4 co-anglers (John Meisch, Tony Nelson, Brent Muilenburg & David Meyer). The Tournament Trail takes us all over the state of Minnesota, and the Championships are fished each season on Lake of the Woods.
My team of anglers and I were very competitive in 2014, which has left us with high hopes for the upcoming season. You can also learn more about me, our team, or follow our season on Facebook link.
Team Shrimpy will once again fish the Minnesota Tournament Trail in 2015. However, our Team also has aspirations to participate in the Cabelas NWT, MWC, and Aim Pro walleye circuits. While my kids are young we will continue to split time between my current profession, my family, and fishing the Minnesota Tournament Trail.
